- Che Otafiire, son of Internal Affairs Minister Maj Gen (Rtd) Kahinda Otafiire, vehemently defends his father against MK Movement’s David Kabanda’s accusations. Kabanda alleges Otafiire’s misuse of power to take over a government stock farm.
“So apparently Minister Otafiire has used ‘his police’ as interior minister to raid and take over Njeru government stock farm in Jinja which is meant to serve the whole of Eastern region as a breeding centre and has arrested a farm manager with his guards since January 21 at Njeru and ordered police not to give her bail,” wrote Kabanda.
Che Otafiire counters, advising Kabanda to seek redress through legal channels and questioning his ethics. The exchange reveals tensions within the political landscape, with Che Otafiire dismissing Kabanda’s credibility and suggesting others, like Cedric Ndilima and Michael Katungi, should lead Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s political agenda. The situation underscores complex dynamics within Ugandan politics.
“For someone who defrauded the person of the president, you chat a lot of s*it. No wonder he despises you because your character is repulsive,” Che Otafiire alleged.
“People with brains like Cedric Ndilima and Michael Katungi should be the face of General Kainerugaba’s political agenda when he retires, not a Year 13 graduate like you. Kindly, stop behaving like you have the thinking capacity of a mitochondrion.”
