KAMPALA INSIDER had earlier written an article about how the three remanded NRM legislators facing corruption charges were brought to court today for their bail hearing after spending two nights behind the cold gates of Luzira prisons.
Two of the jailed MPs; Cissy Namujju [Lwengo District] and Yusuf Mutembuli [Bunyole East] were denied bail and one of their colleagues Paul Akamba of Busiki county who is being represented by his Lawyer Asuman Basalirwa was granted a Shs13million cash bail.
The two whose bail was denied had their bail hearing pushed to Monday 17th when they will appear again in court for the same.
News reaching our desk indicate that even the bailed legislator Paul Akamba has been re-arrested again at the gates of the Anti-Corruption Court.
There was commotion as the legislator was commotion at the gate as the legislator was pushed inside a waiting white Toyota Alphard and driven to unknown destination.
The three legislators are accused of corruption and prosecution alleges that they solicited a 20% kickback from the Uganda Human Rights Commission boss Mariam Wangadya from the enhanced commission budget last month in a meeting at Hotel Africana.
