The Emoluments and Benefits Act of 2010 outlines the remuneration for Uganda’s top leaders, including the President, Vice President, and Prime Minister. The Vice President’s salary and allowances are specified in the Third Schedule of the Act.

Reports indicate that the Vice President earns an annual salary of approximately 59,398,900 Ugandan shillings, which translates to about 4,949,908 UGX per month.

In addition to her salary, the Vice President enjoys a range of benefits designed to support her role. These include:

Security: Full-time security protection, including bodyguards and a chauffeur-driven car.

Transport: A government-provided vehicle, replaced periodically.

Medical Care: Access to some of the best health facilities for the Vice President and her family, fully covered by the government.

Housing: An official residence provided by the government, with the option of a housing allowance if necessary.

Allowances: Additional allowances for furniture, entertainment, and travel to facilitate her duties without financial strain.
