After evading law enforcement for 177 days, Tabula Lujja, the prime suspect in the murder of Ndiga Clan leader Daniel Bbosa, was finally apprehended at a relative’s home in Kimerika-Namulonge, Busukuma, Wakiso District.

Lujja’s time on the run had taken a significant toll on his physical appearance, with visible weight loss and a gaunt appearance.

The Police Spokesman, Assistant Commissioner of Police Kituuma Rusoke, acknowledged the challenging pursuit, stating, “He has been elusive, hiding in the islands.” The police had placed a Shs20 million bounty on Lujja after he was accused of orchestrating Bbosa’s murder, which was allegedly planned during several meetings in Kabanga Village, Mpigi Town Council.

A police source revealed that the investigative team systematically closed in on Lujja, forcing him into a corner and leading to mistakes in his escape attempts. The source explained, “We forced him into a corner, leading to mistakes in his escape attempts.”

Lujja’s arrest marks the culmination of a lengthy and complex investigation, which involved analyzing telephone records, monitoring family connections, and conducting surveillance in various locations. The police had to navigate a web of hideouts, from Katosi in Mukono District to Kimi Island on Lake Victoria, and eventually to Namulonge in Busukuma.

The murder of Bbosa was meticulously planned, and the suspects, including Noah Lujja, Harriet Nakiguli, Joseph Nakabale, Ezra Mayanja, and Milly Naluwenda, were allegedly hired to eliminate Bbosa due to a leadership dispute within the Ndiga Clan in Buganda.

Lujja’s capture is a significant breakthrough in the case, and he is expected to appear in court on murder charges. The police’s determination and perseverance have brought an end to Lujja’s 177-day evasion, and justice may finally be served for the family of Daniel Bbosa.
