Empowering Communities: CAPAIDS Uganda’s Local Leadership Lab Project
The Local Leadership Lab project, led by CAPAIDS Uganda, is a groundbreaking initiative empowering grassroots community-based organizations to overcome socioeconomic inequalities. By working together, CAPAIDS Uganda and local stakeholders pilot and test coordinated approaches to service delivery, fostering holistic systems change.
Project Overview
As the Secretariat of the local coalition accelerator and Charter for Change working group in Uganda, CAPAIDS Uganda collaborates with diverse stakeholders to develop sustainable, locally designed, and locally led development solutions.
This project enables communities to resist and overcome socioeconomic challenges.

Impact
The Local Leadership Lab project has sparked positive change in Uganda’s West Nile Region. Stakeholders, including district and city leaders, civil society organizations, and community representatives, engage in critical discussions to deepen understanding and relevance to local development efforts.
CAPAIDS Uganda’s Role
With experience working with community-led programs in East Africa, CAPAIDS Uganda brings expertise in poverty relief, HIV prevention, and education expansion. The organization strengthens operational capacity and secures local funding opportunities through collaborations and internships.
By supporting grassroots organizations and promoting community-driven development, the Local Leadership Lab project paves the way for sustainable solutions to socioeconomic challenges in Uganda.
