Renowned Ugandan music sensation, Eddy Kenzo, has recently shed light on his deeply committed romantic relationship with an undisclosed partner. Citing past experiences, the ‘Ssemyekozo’ singer revealed during a BBS TV interview that he has chosen to keep his current love life away from public scrutiny. Following his separation from fellow singer Rema Namakula, speculations about Kenzo’s romantic affiliations with figures like Carol Nantongo and Lydia Jazmine had circulated. However, he clarified, “I am not ready to introduce my significant other to the public.”
During the interview, Kenzo elaborated on his decision, explaining that lessons from past experiences have prompted him to prioritize the privacy of his romantic endeavors. Despite being a father to children, including Aamaal and Maya Musuuza, Kenzo deliberately maintains a veil of secrecy around details concerning his son and other offspring, believing that this approach shields them from the pressures of celebrity status, allowing them to focus on their studies without distraction.

Kenzo’s illustrious musical career spans four albums, including the 2018 release, “Roots,” and his latest offering, “Made in Africa,” in 2021. His impressive list of accolades includes various national and international awards, such as a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award in 2018, a BET Award in 2015, and multiple All Africa Music Awards.
In 2022, Eddy Kenzo received a prestigious Grammy Award nomination for Best Global Performance for his collaboration with Matt B on “Gimme Love.” The track’s remarkable success on the U.S. Afrobeats Billboard chart, reaching number 36 in November 2022, marked a significant milestone.
