The recent tragic murder of Eng Daniel Bbosa Lwomwa, the Head of the Ndiga Clan in Buganda Kingdom, has left the National Unity Platform (NUP) president, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, commonly known as Bobi Wine, in shock. Bobi Wine revealed that the deceased was not only a significant figure in the Buganda Kingdom but also his maternal uncle.

In a heartfelt statement following the news of Bbosa’s brutal murder, Bobi Wine expressed his sorrow, stating, “Just received the sad and shocking news of the murder in cold blood of the Head of the Ndiga Clan of Buganda Kingdom, Eng. Daniel Bbosa Lwomwa.” He further highlighted the personal connection, adding, “As I will speak later, the now deceased elder has been my maternal uncle, who was closely related to our late mother.”

Seeking justice for his slain relative, Bobi Wine called upon security agencies to delve into the motive behind the heinous crime, especially given the reported apprehension of the assailants. He emphasized the urgency of the investigation, stating, “As media reports indicate that the citizens were vigilant and pursued and captured the assailants, every citizen hopes that this time around, the cause and motive of this murder will be investigated swiftly and efficiently and the perpetrators brought to justice.”

In a follow-up to the initial reports, it was disclosed that a mob had taken matters into their own hands, resulting in the death of one of the killers, while the other sustained severe injuries and was in critical condition. This turn of events adds a layer of complexity to the already tragic incident, raising questions about the circumstances leading to the perpetrators’ apprehension.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of this shocking incident, Bobi Wine’s call for a thorough investigation resonates with the public’s demand for justice and clarity surrounding the motives behind the assassination of Buganda’s ndiga clan head.
