Pastor Wilson Bugembe Reveals Why He Loves President Museveni So Much Just Like He Loves Bobi Wine, Reveals His Political Side
Often, Pastor Wilson Bugembe of the Nansana Worship House Ministries has been called out for not picking a side when it comes to political affairs. He always expresses his love for both NRM and NUP’s Bobi Wine.
While appearing in an interview, Bugembe noted that he has been a longtime friend of Bobi Wine’s since the day he accepted to feature in one of his biggest music projects’ “Komawo Eka”.
Bugembe revealed that even at the time when Bobi Wine was at his peak, he always spared his time to feature in other projects of his and that turned them into brothers.
“I wouldn’t be who I am today had Bobi Wine not appeared in my Komawo Eka Video. He was so hard to reach back then but he accepted and featured in the video. I believe his being in my videos paved the way for me to be his crowd so he is my brother,” Pastor Wilson Bugembe said.
He then also noted that his support for President Museveni heavily leaned towards him upholding the freedom of worship for all believers.
“Worship House is now one of the fastest-growing churches. It’s the freedom of worship and I thank President Museveni for letting us worship freely regardless of our backgrounds or social class. So I am on the fence, I love the president and also love Bobi Wine.” He Said.
“But if someone visits Worship House, please do not ask what political party I support. Just ask me to pray for you. I hope we can achieve that, when all people no matter the political party can feel at home and feel Jesus.” He Added.
Meanwhile , A few days ago, comedian Reign Omusoyisoyi, born Obedi Lubega, of the popular comedy outfit Maulana and Reign took to the studio and dropped a remake of Pastor Wilson Bugembe Featuring Rodah K’s “Miracle” song that he titled “Musenze”.
Reign’s version sounded so political, hitting at the ruling regime and some opposition members of parliament from the National Unity Platform (NUP) who have since gone against their master and president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, known by many as Bobi Wine.
The remake has thus caused Pastor Wilson Bugembe trouble following several phone calls that he received from members of the ruling regime pinning him on collaborating with Reign to drop the song.
During his Sunday Church service, Pastor Wilson Bugembe set the record straight as he distanced himself from the song stating that Reign released the remix to his song without his knowledge. He further cemented his relationship with President Museveni noting that he loves him so much for the amazing freedom of worship that he let Ugandans enjoy and also emphasized that he is a longtime friend to Bobi Wine.
“That song, yes it is my original composition but Reign did a remix of it without my knowledge and I’m not a part of it. Reign made a remix of my song but politically so I was trying to clarify and he is my friend but for that song in particular I didn’t know anything I also just saw the song released while its political replacing my lyrics/words with his own” Bugembe Noted.
